PURPOSE OF ROAD SYSTEM:
The computer-based acquisition, processing and data distribution system is intended for provision of information support of shipping companies and steamship lines officials at planning and performance of tasks connected with commercial passenger traffic or cargo carrying.
ROAD computer-based system processes data acquired from observation stations, integrated by a unified telecommunication infrastructure based on diversified (low-speed and high-speed) data links.
ROAD computer-based system provides automation of preparation, processing and reporting the information to users functions, in particular:
- Generation, processing and information interchange in the form of formalized and unformalized text, graphic (diagrams, schedules, circuits, illustrations), tabular, cartographical and other electronic documents;
- Performance of functions of specialized information and computing tasks fulfillment;
- Authorization, generation, transmission and storage of formalized instructions and execution control.

PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS:
ROAD systems has been developed in the interests of the Russian Federation in accordance with the Russian Government resolution on creation of a complex for acquisition, processing and transmission hydrological, metrological, radiophysical and other scientific data and information about the world ocean within the program of creation a unified governmental system for developing surface and underwater space and conditions interpretation.
