Medium speed Sync/Async Multiplexer (SAM) of digital channels with voice capabilities is designed for simultaneous transmission of up to eight independent data streams (data and voice) over one trunk and is intended for increasing efficiency of digital wire, radio relay and satellite communication channels use. The development is based on FPGA what allowed to solve questions of accurate calculation of transmission speeds, to realize unique mechanisms of synchronization of group and subscriber interfaces and mechanisms of automatic adjustment of each interface operation frequency.

Multiplexer family consists of:

• SAM-512 — up to 512 Kbps transfer rate
• SAM-2048 — up to 2048 Kbps transfer rate
